The 2012 Sustaining Rural Communities Conference – ‘Local Solutions to National Issues’ will take place Wednesday to Thursday 18-19 April 2012 in Narrabri, at the Crossing Theatre. The Conference will once again be free, with a $50 fee to cover all meals.

Important Issues

Important issues such as mining, water, carbon and new technologies such as the National Broadband Network (NBN) have the potential to create opportunities for regional people, businesses and communities.

Building The Skills Of Delegates

To support and take advantage of opportunities created regional people need skills and the conference will focus on building the skills of delegates, helping them:

  • Build new networks
  • Develop new personal and professional skills
  • Learn about findings from recent regional research
