Be Part Of The Solution: SEQ Catchments Fund Transition Town Training

Sustainable Maleny – Queensland’s Sunshine Coast local project with the global vision – just doesn’t stop…

We hear from them that the Sunshine Coast Energy Action Centre and Transition Sunshine Coast have received funding from SEQ Catchments (thanks to their environmental campaigner, Susie Chapman) to accelerate the establishment of Transition Towns across South East Queensland.

The Transition Towns goal is to take action on climate change and peak oil and build local resilience within SEQ communities.

Part of the Pathways To Resilience Program, this one-day mid-December SEQ Workshop at the Eumundi Bamboo Forest will be a day packed with information and real on the ground action strategies to get communities started and strengthen the Transition Networks across South East Queensland.

There are also 100 Transition Handbooks to distribute in SEQ thanks to the funding received and everyone who attends the course receives a FREE BOOK – valued at around $30.

Venue: Emundi Bamboo Forest, 140 Finley Road, Eumundi
Date: EITHER Saturday 13 OR Sunday 14 December
