Marc ‘Aussie-Stone’ is passionate and indefatiguable in his efforts to communicate the realities of bringing visitors to country areas and building rural and regional tourism…he’s had a lot of experience!
New Rural Resort Development System
Marc has worked for years on rural development issues and in 2008 the Federal Government granted his team a National Innovations Patent for a ‘New Rural Resort Development System’. This includes the Australian manufacture of many special visitor services.
The system was designed specifically to assist important rural regions such as Lithgow, Oberon, Bathurst regions to attract more Australian and overseas visitors for long stay, big spending holidays.
Now Marc is inviting people to attend a Symposium in Lithgow where they can listen, have their say and have their questions answered. There are also several prizes on offer..
Symposium: Progressing The Number Of Visitors Into Lithgow, NSW
Venue Vale Community Hall, Mort St, Lithgow
Date Thursday 10 September 2009
Time 7pm – 9pm (longer if necessary)
Those attending are asked to RSVP to 0428 600120 or email Marc, ruralprogress@netscape.net
Speakers
1. Marc Aussie-Stone will speak about working with Lithgow Council on a ‘Transformational Local Region Visitor Consultancy and Program’.
2. John Cook from Berry, has spent 20 years in the Backpacker Industry and is a Past Chairman of the NSW Backpackers Association. He will speak about how he sees Marc’s proposal working for the region.
3. Alex Wendt from Gosford has spent 40 years in global tourism. He has seen Marc’s proposal work in Fiji and is keen for it be implemented by the Lithgow region.
Consensus Sought From Attendees
There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion and at the end it is hoped agreement can be reached on Lithgow Council resolving to join with Tourism NSW, Peter Hale CEO of NSW’s FORTO and Marc Aussie-Stone to seek funding for a New Lithgow City Visitor Hosting, Visitor Centre, Transformational Operations Plan and a number of new tourist service products, prototypes, to be manufactured locally.
Hope all goes well Marc and Lithgow.
