Paul has contacted PWF to introduce a brand new, very comprehensive, green and community resource. The Blue’s Green Mate website is a forum, directory and news outlet – with news feeds from Alternative Energy News, The UK Guardian-Environment, The Independent-Green Living and Huffington Post.
What’s It All About?
The website aims to support, promote and also initiate environmental and socially ethical activities, projects and business.
It will also support the arts and music community in Australia, New Zealand and Oceania.
The scope is huge. The Food Swaps and Community Gardens section caught my eye – there are 8 Food Swaps shown on a greater Melbourne map and they are looking to list as many as possible – right around the country.

And if I may just offer a little more info about the project – ” Blue’s Green, Mate ! & The Big Green Directory ” – 25% of income derived from directory listers, site advertisers and donaters goes to the green and community groups and causes nominated by the lister / advertiser ( excluding political parties and groups that use animal testing ).
There’s facility for folks to post info and images ( and video ) of their own home grown green activity or community action eg your vegie garden, your solar installation, your grey water set up, etc.
There’s also facility for recipe submission and cafe and restaurant reviews, and there are many other things in the pipeline as you’ll see onsite.
